Details

Location: WS Training Supported Learning Centre, Ipswich
Contract Type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover | Term Time Only
Contract length: up to 10 months
Working Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week (Mon-Fri)
Salary: £27,810 – £36,048.97 – this is dependent on qualifications & experience – proof of qualifications will be requested. The salary will be pro rata based on 45 weeks.
Work Location: In person

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes but is not limited to (A full job description is available upon request):

  • Teaching FS English and Vocational Studies Level 1
    Contributing to the initial assessment process, induction activities and identifying gaps in learning.
  • The use of baseline assessments to plan suitable sessions enabling learners to access learning that is motivational and inspiring.
  • Assisting students to improve their own learning and performance by developing their study skills.
  • Devising appropriate interventions to support students to remain on track for completion of their course.
  • Agreeing and putting in place relevant targets and actions.
  • Taking responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to our students who have a broad range of barriers to learning and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

  • Are you able to commit to continuous improvement of provision through imaginative and differentiated lessons?
  • Do you have the ability to form good relationships with other staff, children, parents and the wider community?
  • Do you have a subject support qualification at Level 2 in Literacy or Numeracy?
