Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Team. In this key role, you will actively promote and safeguard the strong corporate reputation of WS Training, while driving growth by engaging with both existing and new clients to maximise uptake of our commercial training programmes.

Key Responsibilities (Principal Accountabilities)

  • Contribute to, and take accountability for, the development, communication, and delivery of WS Training’s overall vision and strategy.
  • Lead and manage a team of Business Development Coordinators across all aspects of: Marketing communications, external relationships & events.
  • Monitor monthly team and individual targets, ensuring performance is reviewed and supported through regular weekly team meetings.
  • Ensure the team provides prospective clients with accurate and relevant information to enable informed decisions regarding training programmes that support continual professional development.
  • Develop and promote a strong brand identity across WS Training’s commercial training portfolio, creating a positive market presence.
  • Carry out market, environmental, and competitor analysis to inform strategic planning.
  • Liaise with employers, prospective learners, and apprentices, working collaboratively with the Apprenticeship Team to expand business development opportunities across the organisation.
  • Represent WS Training professionally at internal and external events, ensuring the organisation’s reputation is upheld at all times.
  • Manage and motivate the Business Development Team to deliver high‑quality outcomes and sustained growth.
