The aim of the Ladders & Stepladders Combined User & Inspection course is to assess and determine when and how to use a ladder or stepladder correctly. This course covers current legislation and code of practice, as well as regulations and guidance affecting work at height.

Course Content
Upon completion of this course, delegates will have an understanding of:
- What they need to know about the law and standards relating to ladders and stepladders
- Hazards in the use of ladders and stepladders
- Storage and handling of ladders and stepladders
- Assess and determine when it’s appropriate to inspect a ladder or stepladder
- Record findings and recommend action to be taken if faults are found
- Accurately record details of ladders and stepladders
Assessment
Assessment activities include:
- Multiple choice questions
- Ladder & stepladder fault finding
- Carrying positioning & ladders and stepladder
This is a closed-book assessment with a pass mark of 80%.
A Ladder Association certificate and LadderCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical assessment sessions at the level they attend the course, which has a five-year validity period.
