Driver CPC – Load Safety

The Driver CPC Load Safety course aims to raise the level of competence and understanding of the principles of safe vehicle loading. This is a remote course.

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Discuss the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Load Safety Guidance Document
• Understand the principles of safe loading
• Discuss different types of load restraints and systems
• Demonstrate the use of a ratchet strap, chain tensioner, or extension bar
• Discuss the importance of correct weight distribution
• Be able to convert different vehicle heights (feet and inches to metres)
