What do you need to do?

As an employer, you need to:

Offer a job with a contract that lasts at least the duration of the apprenticeship programme.

Provide a safe learning environment for the apprentice.

Pay your apprentice the correct wage in line with the apprenticeship minimum wage or above at your discretion. You can find out more here.

Provide an apprenticeship mentor who will offer regular feedback and support to help the apprentice succeed.

Allow time for off-the-job training and development in line with apprenticeship training requirements.

Will my apprentice attend college just once a week?

No, all of our apprenticeship training is delivered in the workplace, so we can be flexible around your business needs.

How will I track my apprentice's progress?

Progress reviews are completed with the apprentice, employer and tutor as a minimum every 12 weeks. Access can be given to the E-portfolio system to enable you to view the apprentices progress ongoing.
