The Trainer
Lynne is a hugely successful, talented and experienced trainer having spent her whole career developing teams to achieve their full potential. After 14 years in a senior position with Marks & Spencer, she moved to develop the large GP practice in Buckinghamshire which became first wave fund holders, the forerunner of many subsequent changes in commissioning services. It was during this time she was approached to become an original author of the Handbook of Practice Management and several other publications, and joined the editorial board of the Practice Manager journal. Her keen interest in the quest for excellence extended to General Practitioners who wanted to become trainers of future GP’s and she was an accredited tutor on the New Trainers Courses held in the Oxford Region, she also led a team of practice managers to participate in GP assessment visits.
Lynne returned to her East Anglian roots and began her consultancy to general practices and local businesses, offering a comprehensive range of advice from sensitive employment issues to strategic planning. She has designed and delivered a wide spectrum of bespoke management training in the public and private sector. One client invited her to become Personnel Director, a post she continues to hold and oversees the HR policies and procedures. She is no stranger to the challenges that face businesses and has first hand knowledge of the importance of getting every single person engaged, dealing with under-performance and working effectively to achieve success.
