Fulltime 37.5 hours per week

WS Training Ltd is a Quality Provider of Vocational and Commercial Training Programmes. Our Study Programmes department has a vacancy for a Functional Skills Lead to join our busy department.  Responsible for the quality of delivery of teaching, learning & assessment to learners on Study Programmes and the delivery of Functional Skills. Plan and carry out assessment against National Occupational Standards, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications. Be a point of contact to support staff with Functional Skills delivery. To lead on setting up and organising exams for students.

Education/Qualifications Desired
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent
  • Teaching Qualification at level 3 (PTLLS or Certificate in Education and Training)
  • Minimum level 3 or equivalent in English
  • Minimum level 3 or equivalent in Maths
  • Minimum level 2 or equivalent in ICT
  • Hold a full driving license and own car
Responsibilities
  • The delivery of teaching, learning and development of high needs learners providing clear direction and information, enabling them to fulfil their potential ensuring individual set targets are met with regard to Functional Skills.
  • Responsible for regularly reviewing and amending of training material in line with OFSTED and awarding the organisation’s requirements.
  • To ensure adherence to Health & Safety (including Safe Learner concept), Code of Conduct policies, Equality and Diversity and that all learners are given fair access to opportunities.
  • To actively promote and support an empowered open success culture.
  • Communication at all levels to be open and honest and a clear two- way channel.
