Driver CPC- Health and Safety in Transport- Remote Training

This course will be delivered remotely.

Aim: To enable candidates to appreciate and reduce the risks associated with their relevant working environments.

Objectives:

  • Discuss Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and ‘Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992’.
  • Define and identify a Hazard
  • Define Risk
  • Discuss the ‘Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002’.
  • Recognise Harmful Substance COSHH Signs
  • Discuss Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013
  • Identify the risks associated with working on vehicles
  • Carry out an on-site risk assessment
  • Demonstrate the Banksman signals

This course will cover topics that include:

  • Identifying hazards in the workplace
  • Carrying out a risk assessment
  • COSHH Awareness
  • RIDDOR Awareness
  • Vehicle Maneuvering in the Operating Centre
  • Reversing assistant signals
