Aim:

To raise the candidates’ level of competence in relation to safe and fuel-efficient driving To raise awareness regarding the rules surrounding driving a large goods vehicle on the road

Objectives:

• Examine the concepts of ‘professionalism’ and ‘responsibility’ towards the environment • Discuss safe methods of driving • Discuss economical methods of driving • Explain why walk around checks are important • Discuss how to protect your vehicle from unnecessary wear • Outline the benefits of driving in an economical manner • Understand traffic regulations and speed limits

This course will cover topics that include:

Professionalism within the context of LGV driving and the Environment, Daily Checks that help with Fuel Economy, Safe Driving Techniques, Vehicle Movements on the Road. Practical elements include: Completing a safer driving campaign poster
