Graphic Design for Beginners

Course Overview:

This course is for beginners on how to create your own graphics using Inkscape.  The course is for PC users and will cover the basic rules in order to create graphics for advertising.

Course Content:

Part 1.

• Introducing the Inkscape screen
• Mastering basic design skills
• Using more advanced tools

Part 2.

• Working with typefaces
• Working with photographs
• Combining elements to make images, pages and posts

Part 3.

• Basic graphic design training including layout for print and web design
• Colour theory, pixels and gradients
• Making design templates for your company (web, social media or print)

Part 4.

• The rest of the afternoon is spent with attendees designing individually and adding text to make social media posts, Web graphics or page layouts for print.
• Examples will be demonstrated and I will help individually as needed.
