Course Title: ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management
Aim & Objectives:
The Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management aims to give practising and potential managers the foundation for their formal development. The programme content covers the Knowledge Requirements of the Level 3 S/NVQ in Management, and the assessments may provide evidence towards a portfolio for this qualification.
The programme has two primary objectives:
• To assist participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a Manager • To develop basic Management skills
Entry Requirements:
Participants will normally be either practising or aspiring managers. Whilst there are no formal educational requirements, learners should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
Progression:
Successful participants may benefit from career enhancement, and/or may progress to:
• Level 3 or 4 S/NVQ in Management depending upon their workplace responsibilities • Level 4 Introductory Diploma in Management
Course Content:
A minimum of 13 credits are required to complete this qualification and must be completed within 3 years.

Understanding conflict management in the workplace (Unit covered in the Award package A)

Giving briefings and making presentations (Unit covered in the Award package B)
Developing yourself and others (Unit covered in the Award package B)
Understanding discipline in the workplace (Unit covered in the Award package B)
Understand organising and delegating in the workplace (Unit covered in the Award package B)

Work based assignment and unit assessments to cover the units
